TENDERS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF BOUNDARY WALL AND RELATED WORK AT THE HIGH COMMISSON

In continuation of the earlier notices published by this High Commission, inviting tenders for construction of boundary wall and related work at the High Commission, this is to request for bids from interested bidders, as per the Tender Documents available with the High Commission.   The Tender Documents could not be issued earlier as these were in the process of revision, which has only been done now.

The tender documents for the eligible bidders can be collected from the High Commission starting Monday, 27th June, 2016, on any working day from 1000 hrs – 1300 hrs./1430 hrs – 1630 hrs., till Wednesday,  6th July, 2016 (Eligibility Criteria for the bidders is enclosed.  It can also be obtained by the bidders personally from the High Commission).  The cost of Tender documents is Kina 150/-, which is required to be paid by a Bank/Company cheque drawn in favour of ‘High Commission of India, Port Moresby’.  The address and contact particulars for collection are as follows :

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant should have valid permit/registration from a competent local  authority for carrying out building works in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea

  1. 1. The applicant should have satisfactorily completed three similar works each costing not less than Kina 200,000/- or completed two similar works each costing not less than Kina 300,000/- or one similar work costing not less than Kina 400,000/- during the last 5 years ending last day of the month previous to the one in which applications were invited. The above costing is excluding GST.


  1. 2. The applicant should have had average annual financial turn-over of Kina 500,000 on Construction works during the immediate last three consecutive financial years. This should be duly audited by a Chartered Accountant. Year in which no turnover is shown would also be considered for working out the average.


  1. 3. The applicant should not have incurred any loss in more than two years during the last five consecutive financial years. This fact shall be duly certified by the Chartered Accountant.


  1. 4. The applicant should have solvency of Kina 200,000 certified by their banker.


  1. 5. The applicant should own construction equipment required for the proper and timely execution of work. Else, he should certify that he would be able to manage the equipment by hiring etc. and submit the list of firms from whom he proposes to hire.


  1. 6. The applicant should have sufficient number of Technical and Administrative employees for the proper execution of the contract. The applicant should submit a list of these employees stating clearly how these should be involved in this work.


  1. 7. The applicant should submit list of all completed works in the last 5 years and list of all works in hand.
